  They do peanut/nut/gluten free products, among others! They're not just for wedding cakes! They also sell normal cakes and cupcakes. Definitely would recommend to anyone!!!

  I have shopped at Cakes by design many times and have never received anything but kind, courteous service and quality baked goods. They are one of the only bakeries in town that are nut free and this is important to me because when serving to large groups, there are many that are not able to partake because of allergies unless you have specifically addressed this concern. I trust them explicitly. So much so that when my son was married in 2014, we trusted them with the creation of the most important cake we have ever ordered to be custom matched to swatches in glittering hombre blues and rising up 4 layers. Every layer was a different flavour and the buttercream frosting was smooth and delicious, holding together perfectly on an incredibly warm August afternoon. I can never thank them enough.

  Cakes By Design was amazing to work with for our wedding cake! They helped us save on costs by serving some slabs of cake but having a two-tier cake on display, and reminded us to think of our gluten and lactose-free guests by ordering some cupcakes. They appreciated that touch! The cake itself was beautiful and incredibly delicious - so moist and tasty. I wasn't sure if people would like wedding cake as dessert but so many people came up to us after and said how delicious it was! We weren't able to save any of it for our first anniversary because our family ate it all the day after the wedding because it was so delicious. We'll just have to order it again for our anniversary! I highly recommend Jen and the rest of the Cakes By Design team for your wedding cake!

  Fabulous cake... Absolutely beautiful work and the cake and icing were delicious and so fresh! We will certainly be back for the next occasion !!!!!!
